Located on thirty-five acres just fifteen minutes south of Columbus, Shady Acres Farm LLC is a family-owned facility that caters to the needs of the horse. The property features two main barns, boasting forty, well ventilated stalls. Each stall is 10' x 11' and contains premium mats, a large window, and a yolk gate. In each barn the stalls line two, well-lit aisles that feature a combined seven cross ties with mats for tacking up and gates at each end for safety. Both barns have two tack rooms to ensure plenty of space to hang bridles, store saddles, and house tack trunks.
Shady Acres also features a newly renovated wash rack with hot and cold water, a large sink, and a shower. Next to the wash rack is an all new, heated, restroom. Featuring plenty of table space, seating, and free wi-fi, the onsite lounge is the social center of the facility. The lounge also includes amenities such as a refrigerator, microwave, keurig coffee maker, and sink.
The facility includes two arenas, both with new masonry sand footing that is dragged regularly. The well-lit, 60' x 150' indoor arena connects both barns and is enclosed by tongue and groove walls for safety. The outdoor arena has been expanded to 130' x 300' and features lights for night riding. Shady Acres Farm is completely fenced in and is locked at night for maximum safety. There is plenty of parking for cars and ample space for trailer parking. Although there is sufficient space for trailer turn around, the drive way can be turned into a horseshoe for big rigs.
